Fishtail Returns to Jesus Ute
After stepping aside from driving duties in the Jesus Racing V8 Ute at Bathurst, Andrew “Fishtail” Fisher will be making a return to his regular Ford when the V8 Ute Series takes to the streets of the Gold Coast this weekend.
Having made the decision to focus solely on driving the teams XY GTHO in the Touring Car Masters series at Bathurst, Fishtail gave young Aaron Borg the opportunity to race the V8 Ute at Bathurst where the team finished 13th overall and won the rookie of the round award.
Fishtail will be looking to continue on his strong form from the previous V8 Ute round at Sandown where the team took a race win and finished equal first on points. He is looking forward to getting back on the streets of the Gold Coast where the team took a win in last year’s race 2.
“We’re very excited to get back out on the streets of the Gold Coast!” said Fishtail. “Last year we were able to get a win and after the strong run we had at Sandown the team is confident of a good result this weekend!”
The team will have a busy start to the weekend with just one practice session on Friday before both qualifying and race 1 also being held on Friday. This can all be seen live on Fox Sports with Saturday and Sunday’s race 2 and 3 also being shown on Network 10.
