A Sunnier Day for Jesus Racing

Sunshine greeted the team as they arrived for the final day of the Sandown 500. The team arrived early to get a start on packing the truck and to make sure there were no last minute issues with the Jesus Racing Falcon prior to the last race.

Given the non result from race 3 due to the red flag from the huge accident, Fishtail had to start from 19th position. He got away to a good start and was able to avoid the spinning cars at turn 1 unfortunately a car moved over on him going into the fast sweeper causing Fishtail to have to come off the throttle and this allowed John Bowe to sneak past on the inside.

The car wasn’t fantastic in terms of grip however Fishtail put his head down and was able to pick off a number of cars and made his way through to 9th position.

After a disappointing weekend it was good to finish the weekend off with a good result and no damage to the car.

The team will now turn its focus to Bathurst.

The engine has been dropped off to the engine builder and he will advise within the next couple of days if it is possible to get it fixed and turned around for Bathurst as he knows how important it is to have the horsepower at that track.

Andrew will now turn his attention to speaking engagements in High Schools in the Melbourne area before returning home later this week.
