Bathurst Day 1
Jesus Racing loves taking the name of Jesus to Bathurst over the Easter weekend as we feel it is a great opportunity to have the name of Jesus front and centre within the Motorsport community on this important weekend.
The opportunity to race in the TransAm series was taken up and although disappointed to not get a test day in the car before hitting the mountain, Fishtail was keen to take a step forward and improve on his impressive performance last October in the same car.
The grid was jam packed with star drivers and Fishtail was able to get of to a solid start finishing P 10 in practice 1.
He followed this up with P12 in practice two with a slightly better lap time.
In a shortened qualifying session Fishtail was able to achieve 8th which was a great result although the session was later cancelled due to an incident, meaning the times didn’t count.
Commenting on the day Fishtail said, “I am a little frustrated as I just can’t get a faster lap time. I know the car is capable of it but with the lack of testing my brain keeps telling me to play it safe as I really don’t know where the edge of the tyre grip is. I will continue to work at it in tomorrow’s two races.”
Tune in to 7 Mate from 10am AEDT to catch all the action.
